The Bangladesh-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) had the honor of welcoming Mrs. Anja Kersten, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bangladesh, to the BGCCI Office on 13 July 2026 for a courtesy meeting with the BGCCI Board of Directors.
The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere and served as an important platform for exchanging views on strengthening the longstanding economic partnership between Bangladesh and Germany. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral trade and investment, promoting stronger business-to-business engagement, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration that would further deepen economic cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the BGCCI Board presented an overview of the Chamber’s ongoing activities, recent achievements, and strategic priorities for the coming years. The Board highlighted BGCCI’s continued efforts to facilitate trade and investment, promote innovation, support business networking, and create stronger linkages between Bangladeshi and German enterprises. The Chamber also reaffirmed its commitment to serving as a trusted bridge between the business communities of both countries by fostering an enabling environment for sustainable economic growth and investment.
Mrs. Anja Kersten commended BGCCI for its proactive role in promoting bilateral commercial relations and acknowledged the Chamber’s significant contribution to strengthening economic and business ties between Bangladesh and Germany.
